FINDING A COUNSELLOR
Finding a counsellor for the first time can be confusing, given the wide range of therapies available.
Evidence shows that the most important factor in positive outcomes is the relationship between client and counsellor. This is more significant than the type of counselling offered.
For this reason it is important to take the time to find a counsellor who you feel you can trust and are comfortable talking to. After an initial consultation with a counsellor you will have a feel for whether they would be right for you.
